Each bedroom has a 'thumb turn' lock and handle for security and the students safety, and there are similar locks on the front and rear doors, further enhancing security.
A burglar alarm is in the house, and all windows are lockable for added security.
There are 2 mains linked smoke detectors, a carbon monoxide detector, and a heat detector in the kitchen, fire blanket and fire extinguisher as required by the university accommodation office.
